Radiant Barrier Insulation
In our service areas across the Southwest, attic temperatures can climb well past 150 degrees on a summer afternoon. That heat doesn’t stay in your attic, either. It radiates down through the roof deck and pushes straight into your living space, no matter how much your air conditioner tries to keep up.
Standard insulation slows that heat down, but it doesn’t stop the radiant energy itself from ever reaching your attic. That is the specific problem a radiant barrier is built to solve.
We install reflective radiant barrier material that blocks up to 97 percent of that heat before it ever loads up your attic.

Jonathan and his crew cleaned my attic and crawl space, sealed all of the entry points to keep the rodents out and installed new insulation. They arrived on time and despite sweltering heat they completed the job in a timely and professional manner. Additionally, they answered all of my many questions. They sent over Brian for a free inspection. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to show the drain leak issue we have. Unfortunately, it’s not in their scope of service. But he helped us find and speak to plumbing company. Thank you Brian!Posted on Google![]()

Our house is going on 30 years old and we knew from other subs and trades that the attic insulation was uneven across the house and inadequate in places. We had all of the old insulation removed, the space cleaned up, openings sealed, baffles installed, and new R-49 fiberglass insulation blown in. Angel and his crew were prompt, very polite and respectful of our house, and worked diligently to complete the job in a timely manner. They kept the areas of their work neat and clean and left no mess behind. The space looks great, and we are looking forward to realizing the benefits of the new insulation right away.Posted on Google![]()

What Our Radiant Barrier Installation Includes
A radiant barrier only performs well when it’s installed with the right technique, not just stapled up quickly.
Reflective Foil on the Roof Rafters
We install highly reflective material on the underside of the rafters, where it can intercept heat before it spreads through the attic.
Maintained Air Gaps
Critical air space is preserved during installation, since a radiant barrier only reflects heat effectively when it faces open air rather than sitting flush against another surface.
Seam Sealing
We tape seams across the installation to keep the reflective surface working as a continuous barrier rather than a patchwork of individual sheets.
Site Protection
Work areas are covered and protected throughout the job, and all installation debris leaves with our crew.
That level of detail is what separates a radiant barrier that performs for years from one that underdelivers from day one.
How a Radiant Barrier Works With Your Insulation
A radiant barrier and your attic insulation solve two different problems. Insulation slows down heat that is already moving through a material, while a radiant barrier reflects radiant heat before it ever gets that far. Installed together, the barrier keeps your attic and insulation cooler, which means less total heat pressure makes it into your living space. Neither one replaces the other, which is why we always treat a radiant barrier as an addition to proper insulation, not a substitute for it.
Benefits Homeowners Notice in Our Service Areas
The impact of a radiant barrier tends to show up fast, especially in hot climates like ours.
- Lower cooling costs: Homeowners typically see a meaningful drop in cooling expenses during peak summer months once the barrier is in place.
- Fewer hot spots: Second-story rooms and areas near the attic often feel noticeably more even once radiant heat stops pouring in from above.
- Less strain on your air conditioner: With less heat pushing into the attic, your system doesn’t have to run as hard or as long to keep up.
- A complement to what you already have: The barrier works alongside your current insulation rather than requiring you to replace it.
Most homeowners notice a difference in attic temperature the same day the work is finished.
Our Installation Process
We start by clearing a path to the attic and laying down protective coverings to keep the rest of your home clean. From there, our technicians install the reflective material directly to the roof rafters, working carefully to preserve the air gaps the barrier needs to function properly. Once the material is in place, we tape the seams for full coverage and do a final walkthrough before clearing out all debris. The whole process is designed to be quick and non-disruptive, and most homeowners are back to their normal routine the same day.
Why Homeowners Choose Us for Radiant Barrier Installation
Installation quality matters more with a radiant barrier than with almost any other attic upgrade.
- Precision-focused technicians: We know that a poorly installed barrier, one missing air gaps or sealed seams, won’t deliver the performance it is capable of.
- Fast, low-disruption projects: Most installations wrap up in a single visit with no lasting mess left behind.
- Honest expectations: We explain what a radiant barrier can and cannot do on its own, rather than overselling it as a stand-alone fix.
- One-year workmanship warranty: If anything about the installation needs a second look, we come back and take care of it.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Yes. Insulation slows heat transfer through materials, while a radiant barrier reflects radiant heat before it reaches your attic. They work best as a pair, not as a replacement for one another.
No. Radiant barriers typically raise shingle temperature by only a few degrees, well within what roofing manufacturers consider safe.
Many homeowners see a noticeable reduction in cooling costs during peak summer months, though the exact amount depends on your home’s sun exposure and existing insulation levels.
Not with proper installation. Because we install the barrier on the roof rafters rather than the attic floor, dust doesn’t settle on the reflective surface the way it would on a horizontal installation.
Its main benefit is keeping summer heat out, but a radiant barrier can also reflect some indoor heat back into your living space during cooler months, adding a smaller secondary benefit outside of cooling season.
